Linda Snellings Obituary
Linda Russell Snellings, born and raised on Chincoteague Island on May 16, 1947, passed away at Encompass on August 9, 2024. She is survived by her daughter Helen May (Tom) and her brother James Russell (Naomi), two grandkids Charles and Emily, a great-grand puppy Nimbus, a great-grand kitty Precious, and three other fur babies, Buttons, Budda, and Archer. Three stepchildren, Wayne, Susan (Jimmy), and Judy, and a godchild Jaime. She also had many nieces, nephews, friends, and many others she looked after over the years. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, "Bookie" Snellings, and her parents, Helen and Sam Russell. Instead of flowers, please donate to Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company P.O. Box 691, Chincoteague, VA 23336, where she was an honorary member and volunteered many summers at the drink stand at the carnival grounds. She will be truly missed by many, and on behalf of the family, we would like to say thank you for everything. At her wishes, there will be no service.
