Lois Rae Tarr

Lois Rae Tarr, 95, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away on  February 9, 2023, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA.  
She was born in Nassawadox, VA on June 6, 1927, to the late Harry and Griselda (Birch) Watson.
She loved gardening and cooking. She would paint the woodwork that her husband, Joe carved.  Her biggest love was her cherished family.
Lois is survived by her son, Jerry L Tarr, and his wife Dottie of Sebastian, FL; four grandchildren, Todd Tarr and his fiance' Judy Gladding of Chincoteague Island, VA, Kevin Tarr and his fiance' Amy Rebecca Muhly of Chincoteague Island, Va, Susan Jennings and her husband David of Severn, MD, Rachel McMaster and her husband Matt of Aldie, VA; nine great-grandchildren, Trae Tarr of Parksley, Va, Gage Tarr of Greenbackville, Va, Sylas Tarr of Greenbackville, Va, Brooke Stubbs and her husband Tyler Greenley of Chincoteague Island, Va, Savannah Stubbs of Chincoteague Island, Va, Taylor McMaster, William McMaster, Camden McMaster, Leo McMaster all of Aldie, VA; one great great granddaughter, Olivia Greenley of Chincoteague Island, Va; sister-in-law, Barbara Tarr of Wattsville, VA; niece, Debbie Taylor and her son Billy Taylor both of Chincoteague Island, VA. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Tarr, Sister Barbara Christie, and her husband Bill, daughter-in-law, Rickie Tarr, and nephew, Delmas Taylor. 
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Downings Cemetery, Oak Hall, VA, with Rev. John Thorne, officiating.
