Margurite Williams Fisher,89 of Fruitland, MD formerly of Chincoteague, VA went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 3rd, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Margurite was born in VA on November 20, 1922, the daughter of the late Emma L. (Wright) and George E. Ward.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Fruitland, MD, American Legion Auxiliary Post #64 Salisbury, MD, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Salisbury, MD. She was a big fan of Orioles Baseball. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was the widow of Robert M. Williams and Norwood W. Fisher Jr.
She is survived by five children, Gail Bowden and her husband Donald of Salisbury, MD, Linda Bailey and her husband Garry of Wallops Island, Va, Barbara Hammond and her husband Arlie of Powellville, MD, Cheryl Harte and her husband Jim of Salisbury, MD, Kenny Williams of Fruitland, MD; nine grandchildren, Loretta Reed and her husband David of Laurel, DE, Jimmy Bloxom Jr. and his wife Rebekah of Chincoteague, VA, Jim Bo Harte and his wife Shana of Pittsville, MD, Tammy Rosanova and her husband Giovanni of Chincoteague, VA, A. J. Hammond Jr. of Powellville, MD, Billy Bailey of Wallops Island, Va. Beth Vallandingham of West River, MD, Justin M. Jones of Fruitland, MD, Kimberly Mansfields of Delmar, MD; special granddog Lily; fifteen great grandchildren; sister Louise Bowden and her husband Joe Boy Reed of Chincoteague, VA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy and Marvin Ward, one sister Pearl Ward, and a great grandson Cody James Hammond.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 6-7 PM. at First Baptist Church of Fruitland with a service to follow at 7 PM. Friends are also invited to call Wednesday 1-2 PM at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague, VA, at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 7th, with Rev. Maurice Enright officiating.
Interment will be held in Downing Cemetery Oak Hall, VA.
