Marjorie Bentz Obituary

Mrs. Margie E. Bentz, 69, of Chincoteague, VA passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 20, 2010. Born in Liberty, NY on April 16, 1940, Margie was the daughter of the late Marion Hankes and Mary & Vincent Corigliano. She was predeceased by Bill Elmquist and her eldest son, Donald Goutremont, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Tom Bentz, Jr., & his parents, Tom & Mary Bentz, Sr., her siblings: Matthew & Alberta Corigliano (NJ), Linda Coughlin (NJ), Margaret Hankes-Pena & husband Jesse (KY), Delores Baker (NY), Charles & Sandra Corigliano (FL), Johnny & Roberta Allotta (CA), Patti & Tom Farrell (NY) and Mary & Don Scholl (PA), her children: Vincent Goutremont (VA), Lori Goutremont (VA), Elizabeth Elmquist (WA), Mike & Tiffany Elmquist (WA), Donna Jackson (DE), Susan Doran (TX), and Arla & Bryan Rush (VA), her grandchildren: Emeline, Vincent Jr., Amos, & Heather Lynn Goutremont, Amanda, William & Vye Greenberg, Samantha Melvin, Rachel & Jenny Garibaldi, Megaen Sackrider, Caroline Elmquist, Caitlyn Henderson, Brittany Elmquist, Linda Sue Rush, 2 great-grandchildren, 24 nieces and nephews, and special friends George, Lou Ann & Ashley Hornung, and Billye & Dick Powers.
Margie was a member of Christ United Methodist Church on Chincoteague. Margie will be fondly remembered for her love of her family, and her lifelong passions for helping people, creating talented crafts, and reading.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague, VA where condolences may be made online at www.salyerfh.com. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on April 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm.
