Mary Elizabeth Reed

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Reed, 88, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Friday, October 29th, 2010 at her residence with her children by her side.
She was born on November 29, 1921 to the late Thomas A. Justice and Lola Marshall Justice.
She was homemaker and owner of Reeds Mobile Home Park and Reeds Cottages for forty years. She was a member Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague, Va, the Rainbow Sisters Sunday School Class, and past member of Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener with the help of Roy Jones.
She was the widow of Robert Nelson Reed Sr.
She is survived by three children Robert Reed Jr. and his wife Joyce of Wallops Island, Ollie Reed and his wife Kathy of Chincoteague, VA, and Rita Reed Westcott of Chincoteague, VA; granddaughter Heather Wescott of Milford, DE; two great grandchildren Skylar and Bradley both of Milford, DE; three step grandchildren Valerie Merritt and her husband Keith of Chincoteague, VA, Michelle Conklin and her husband Mark of Chincoteague, VA, Chris Holston and his wife Wendy of Chincoteague, Va; three step great grandchildren Jenna Merritt, Madison Holston, and Abigail Holston all of Chincoteague, VA.; special niece Sharon Mariner of Greenbackville, VA; two nephews Thomas Bowman of Rehobeth, DE and Michael Bowman of Chincoteague, VA; several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Lucille Bowman of Greenbackville, VA.
The family will be receiving friends at the Robert Reed Sr. family home on Sunday from 6-8 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague, VA, at 2 PM on Monday, November 1st, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at Greenbackville Cemetery in Greenbackville, VA.
