Michael Andrew Cook, 61, of New Church, VA passed away Wednesday, October 26th, at his residence.
Michael was born in Houston, TX on January 17, 1950, the son of Helen (Klucewicz) Cook of Alexandria, VA and the late David Cook.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church Chincoteague Island, VA. He was a devout supporter of the Emmaus Community. He worked for the Department of Navy at Wallops Island as an Information Security Officer.
He is also survived by his wife of three years, Judith Cook of New Church, VA; one son, James Andrew Ernstes of Annandale, VA; one sister, Helene Tauler and her husband Jaime of Mitchellville, MD; four brothers, David Cook of Jamaica, Johnathon Cook of Alexandria, VA, Geoffrey Cook of Alexandria, VA, Philip Cook and his wife Helen of Falls Church, VA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Saturday, October 29th, with Rev. Travis DeLoach officiating.
