Mitzi Elliott Bowden

Mitzi Elliott Bowden,71, of Chincoteague Island, VA went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 25th, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD.
Mitzi was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 31, 1939, the daughter of Willie (Hastings) Elliott of Wattsville, VA and the late George Elliott.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Chancel Choir, Baptist Women's Choir, Puppet Ministry, and a volunteer senior reader at CES. She was also a member of Accomack Chapter #62 Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her mother and also three children, Stephen Bowden and his wife Kathy of Atlantic, VA, Teresa Bachelor of Bristol, PA, and Mitzi Fitchett and her husband Jeff of Chincoteague Island, VA; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Whitney and her husband TC, Justin, Donnie and his wife Trishia, Shaida, and Stephen; three great grandchildren, Lanie, Carter, Merritt; two brothers, George Elliott and his wife Judy of Sign Post, VA, Jerry Elliott and his wife June of Fruitland, MD; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday 7-9 PM. there will also be an Eastern Star service at 7:30 PM Salyer Funeral Home, Inc Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Thursday, December 29th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at Wattsville Cemetery Wattsville, VA.
