Regina C McCready

Regina C. McCready, 91, of Atlantic, Virginia passed away, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, Virginia. Born May 13, 1931, on Chincoteague Island, she was the daughter of the late Paul Bowden, Jr., and Mabel (Berry) Bowden. She was married to the late William T.  (Bill) McCready, Jr. for 65 years. Regina and Bill ran Bill’s Market in Atlantic until retirement in 1988. After retiring, she enjoyed walking on Assateague, eating out, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking care of her kittens. Survivors include son, Timmy McCready and his wife, Barbara of Atlantic, and son, Billy McCready and his wife, Donna of Assawoman, a grandson, Ross McCready and his wife, Meghan from Castleton-on-Hudson, NY, three great-grandchildren, Allison Marie McCready, Lillian Heather McCready, and Logan William McCready as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard B. Bowden, and granddaughter, Heather McCready Fischer. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1PM at the Atlantic Fire House 10071 Atlantic Road, Atlantic, VA  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Atlantic Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, Inc., P.O.
