Mr. Robert David Potter, 56, of Temperanceville, VA went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 at his residence.
Bob was born in Champagne, Ohio, on November 27, 1952, the son of the late Robert Eugene and Frances (Ensley) Potter.
Bob was a member of the Chincoteague Church of God and faithfully served on the Church and Pastor's Council for several years. He served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Bob's Barber Shop in Chincoteague, VA for over 37 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rose Potter of Temperanceville, VA; two daughters, April Fears and her husband Rob of Parksley, Va., Patty Drewer and her husband Neil and Pappy's little bundle of joy, Jacob Connor Drewer of Temperanceville, VA; and Dad, Rodney "Binky" Dize. He is also survived by two brothers, Patrick Potter of Crisfield, MD and Rusty Potter and wife Jackie of Georgia; one sister, Allison Gunther and husband Ronnie of Georgia, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles and a very special friend and neighbor, Mary Holden of Temperanceville, VA.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chincoteague Church of God, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 11 AM on Friday, June 19th, with Rev. John Thorne officiating.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 7-9 PM at Chincoteague Church of God.
Interment will be held at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery Temperanceville, VA.
