Robert "Bobby" Gray of New Church, VA, passed away with his loving wife by his side on March 16, 2025.
Bobby was born in Delaware County, PA, on January 3, 1960. He was raised in Marcus Hook and Graduated from Chichester High School. He also attended Widener University, where he graduated with a degree in criminal justice.
Bobby started his career as a police officer in Marcus Hook and then transferred to the Upper Chichester Police Department, where he retired as a detective in 2000.
He moved his family to Chincoteague Island, VA, in 2001, where he and his family ran a bait and tackle shop for many years. His passion for fishing and talking made him a hit with his customers, and many great friendships were made. He and his wife still spent many weekends fishing at Memorial Park with him, trying to catch the bigger fish.
He began B&B Home Repair in 2009 where he said he did all the small jobs no one wanted to do. He enjoyed this very much and had very loyal clients and friends.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; their children, Christopher, Lura (Ryan), Tiffany (Randy), Jonathan (Rachel), and Bobby (Courtney); eight grandchildren, Aubrey, Madison, Nicholas, Liam, Alyssa, Madeline, Ivy, and Luka; cousin Sandy and Aunt Bobbi.
Bobby was deeply loved and was the very best husband, father, pop-pop, and nephew. He will be missed terribly.
