Sadly, Sarah Clark passed away on September 30 at her home on Chincoteague Island, VA, after a long battle with vascular dementia. She was born in Newport News, VA, on January 4, 1944, to the late Lewellyn and Magdelyn Baer. She is survived by her long-time partner of 43 years, Peggy Fellows, and their son Travis Fellows, her son Matthew Clark, his wife Kate, and grandchildren Kiera, Brendon, and Olin. She is also survived by her brother Bill and his wife Meg.
Sarah lived in numerous places in her life, but Scranton, PA, was always her home base. Her last years were spent in Middletown, NY, and Chincoteague Island, VA. Sarah retired from Orange County Mental Health in NY. She enjoyed reading, painting, the beach, and Lake Waynewood, PA. Her cats and dogs were an important part of her life, especially Amber and Zoe. She was an avid tennis player in her younger years. Sundays would find her watching football. She loved learning and earned degrees, including a Doctorate in Social Work. Her calm, quiet spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Donations may be made to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Co, P.O.
