With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Sidney Otto Schiffman, born March 4, 1992, in Madison, Wisconsin, and taken from us far too soon on November 23, 2025, on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
Sidney was the beloved son of Julie and Tony, and the cherished brother of Derek and Christopher. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua, and his grandfather, Nick. He is survived by his girlfriend, Chelsea, his grandmother Jean, and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
To all who had the honor of knowing him, Sidney was a free spirit, adventurous, and a friend to all he met along the way. He was drawn to the quiet beauty of the natural world, finding peace in wide-open spaces and solace under the trees. He cherished his memories of camping in Montana with his loyal dog, Otis, embracing the solitude of the mountains and the freedom of the outdoors.
Sidney’s spirit will continue to shine brightly. For those who loved him, a glance at the night sky offers a reminder of his presence, now a brilliant star watching over us.
Sidney will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Eastern Shore APAC, P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418, in honor of Sidney.
Services entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., on Chincoteague Island, VA. Condolences may be made online at www.salyerfh.com
