Susan Johnson Obituary
Susan "Sue" Louise Johnson (née Greene), aged 67, fell asleep in death on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Greenbackville, VA. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Johnson; brother, Robert Greene; children: Eric (Carlina) Emmerling, Jr., Melinda (Jarret) Hair, and Joshua (Sasha) Emmerling; step-granddaughter, Lorelei Nunke; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Sue was born in Pompton Plains, NJ and raised her 3 children in Sparta, NJ with her then-husband Eric Emmerling, Sr. In 1999, she met Fred, with whom she shared a love of 22 years. They were married in 2000 and moved to Virginia in 2007. For the past 7 years, Sue ran a quaint shop on Chincoteague Island - Blue Crab Treasures - that featured local artists and fun souvenirs. Sue was a loving, spiritual person, who was actively involved in the community, and her presence will be missed by all.
Memorial Service will be held on December 12th at 2:00 at the Lynnhaven Baptist Church Located at 1200 Lynnhaven Dr, Pocomoke City, MD with the Rev. Laurie Zimmerman.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS foundation would be appreciated.
