Vernal L. Kehm, 81, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Monday, October 24th, at her residence. .
Vernal was born in Chincoteague, Virginia on July 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Mary Jane (Hopkins) and Vernon L. Cherrix.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church and mother of Ruth Sunday School Class in Chincoteague Island, VA.
She was the widow of Robert Allen Kehm.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Winder and her husband Bill of Greenbackville, VA, Karen Jarvis and her husband Larry of Chincoteague Island, VA; three grandsons, Todd Winder and his wife Angela of Greenbackville, VA, Sean Winder and Lindsey of Eugene, OR, Matthew Jarvis of LaJolla, CA; three great granddaughters, Alex, Hailey, and Madison; special nephew, Mac Garner. She was predeceased by a sister, Goldie Hill.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Thursday, October 27th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
