Vicki Hill Kern

Vicki Hill Kern 70 of Chincoteague, VA, passed away surrounded by her family on November 11, 2023.  She was born in Nassawadox, VA, on July 29, 1953, to John W Hill Jr (Jack) and Frances Ann Hill (Ann).  Vicki found her true calling in nursing, retiring from the Holly Center in Salisbury MD.  She was much loved and a favorite of her patients and coworkers. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.  She loved Jesus above all.
Vicki is survived by her mother Frances Ann Hill of Chincoteague VA; sister Jackie Hill Duffield (Bill) of Pittsville, MD; daughters, Rebecca Ann Kern of Chincoteague, VA, Rachel Kern Seymour (Jimmy) of Trappe MD, and Mischelle Kern Thornes (John) of Greenbackville, VA; grandchildren Mathew Kern (Abby), Raileigh Bryden (Sam), Cassidy Mills, Jerry Church (Kostas), Lucas Turner, Dameon Thornes, Jimmy Seymour, Trysten Johnson, and Jack Seymour; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins galore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Edward Kern, father, John Wesley Hill Jr, brother Johnny (Ginny Bird) Hill, and son-in-law, Danny Mills.
Services will be held Thursday, Nov 16th at 2 pm at Church By the Beach in Chincoteague, VA, with pastor Kevin Stanley officiating.  Burial will take place at the Hill family cemetery on Chincoteague, VA.
