William Daniel "Danny" Mills

William Daniel “Danny” Mills age 51 of Chincoteague, VA passed away on Nov. 10, 2021 in his home surrounded by family after a hard fought battle with cancer.  Danny was born on Nov. 21, 1969 In Nassawaddox Va, the son of James Franklin Mills and the late Ruth Irene Speidel Dize.  Danny was married to his best friend and sweetheart Rebecca Mills.  He attended school in Chincoteague Va.  Danny worked at Mills Lawn Care with his father as his right hand man. 
Danny was preceded in death by his beloved mother Irene Speidel Dize and his grandparents Randell and Josephine Speidel and Daniel and Virginia Mills. He was survived by his wife Becca Mills, his father Jimmy Mills, his stepmother Paris Mills, his Daughter Cassady Mills, stepchildren Mathew Kern and wife Abby, Raileigh Bryden and husband Sam, and Lucas Turner, his brother Randy Mills, sister-in-law Kim Mills, grandchildren Madicine, Peighton, Miles, and Cooper, his devoted aunt Kackie, and his buddy Nick and many other loving family members and great friends.  Danny was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.  He had many hobbies including photography and “horticulture”.  One of his greatest joys was music.  He was a huge dead head hence naming his only child “Cassady” after the Grateful Dead song.  Danny was a true people person.  His absence from this world will surely be felt.  Memorial service will be held on Nov. 16, 2021 at 3pm at Salyer Funeral home with a repast directly following at Dons.
