Woodston "Woody" Mears

Mr. Woodston "Woody" J. Mears, 83, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Friday, May 21st, 2010 at his residence.
Woodston was born in Wattsville, Virginia on May 9, 1927, the son of the late Joshua J. and Carrie (Justice) Mears.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA.
He was the husband of Laura Mears of Chincoteague Island, VA.
Woody is also survived by a brother Carl Mears and his wife Mary of Dover, DE and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call Monday 7-9 PM. with a lodge service to be held at 7:30 PM at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 25th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at Mechanics Cemetery Chincoteague Island, VA.
